Meet the maker

 Hi, i'm Jess and i run kimchi and coconut. I also run a sister site full of geeky jewellery called Snikt and Bamf.  I set up Kimchi and Coconut at the end of 2016 so that i could experiment with my jewellery making a bit more. i really wanted to explore my favourite subjects a little more. 

I am an avid surfer, free diver, and hopefully very soon a PADI certified scuba diver. i love the water and all the creatures that live in and around it. A lot of my creations are inspired by this love.

At university i studied jewellery and silversmithing at Birmingham's world famous school of jewellery, it was my time there that really kicked off my love for jewellery making and exploring different techniques to add colour to my work. Towards the end of my degree i studied various CAD softwares and rapid prototyping methods, it was the laser cutter that i really enjoyed using so a little while after leaving uni i brought a laser cutter, quit my job, and set out on my own little journey. 3 years, 2 laser cutters, and 2 small businesses later we are here.
